Pouring a deep obsidian black, reminiscent of the darkest night, and crowned by a luxurious mocha-colored head, this beer offers flavors of dark roasted coffee and baker’s chocolate. A medium body keeps it light and refreshing, in contrast to its morbid hue.

Nice schwarzbier, earthy and roasted with subtle notes of chocolate and a touch of cascara. Finishes with an herbal undertone and a modest java-ish bitterness. Good pint.
Crispeh smooth dark malt sweetness, super drinkable.

Tavour Can: pours near black with beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, toasted malts; some chocolatey medium roast coffee. Sweetish but with a fairly dry finish. A little chewey. Nicely done.

16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, creamy beige head. Nutty, roasty aroma, malty. Taste is roast, chocolate, nutty chocolate, root beer. Very smooth and not very bitter.
