ADTWD team tasting in sunny Halzlemere. Near opaque dark brown beer, small and short lived tan head. Light palate, smooth and mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness, vanilla and a little toffee. Super smooth fruity bourbon. Smooth finish brings a mild bourbon spice. Very much a barleywine that serves the barrel but, so smooth.

Pours black with no real head. Muscovado sugar, boozy dried fruit, prune, cacao, molasses and black treacle. Really mellow and smooth. Delicious.

Sweet, heavy and caramely malty with some toffee, prunes, figs, hints of vanilla, syrup, loads of barrel and oaky notes in the finish. Feels a lot sweeter and a bit less intense than Quad Oaked. Still great.
