Can at Doghouse, Glasgow. Bitter coffee offset by lactose aroma. A thick looking dark brown. Shory-lived off-white/beige head. Sweet lactose with coffee bitterness. Someone likes sugar in their coffee - a few more spoonfulls than Iโd have. Medim bodied but soft. Nice but too sweet, it continues in to the finish.

Can shared thanks to sjogro. Dark brown with beige head. Light dusty on the nose. Coffee, light herbs almost minty, praline, light mineral, lots of nuts. Medium sweet and under medium bitter. Medium bodied with a bit fizzy carbonation.

[ As Northern Monk Northern Star Mocha Porter ].Clear dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, dark malt, oat notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, dusty malt, chocolate, sweet malt, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150211]

Can from Eltham Wines, Eltham. Black pour with a beige head. Nice coffee aroma with a splosh of raisin, dark chocolate and smoke. Exceedingly nice flavours of dark roast coffee,burnt toast, licorice, cola. Nicely balanced and very smooth.

Can from Dorst, The Hague. Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Notes of roasted coffee, brewed coffee, chocolate, cocoa drink, roasted malts, light hop bitterness, molasses, burnt caramel. Full bodied with a smooth texture, soft mouthfeel and a roasty bitter-sweet finish.
