Territorial by nature the Kiwi bird, a nocturnal, slightly winged bird, often fights with its neighbors about hop preferences resulting in violent squabbles. Of particular interest is their common disagreement over whether Nelson Sauvin or Nectaron is better. Silly birds, we all know Southern Cross is best.

Can, from The Hoptimist, Manhattan NYC (Aug 2025). Extremely hazy dark yellow-orange, like peach juice, large foamy off-white head, orange-coriander aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter orangey coriander-unripe mango taste, thin body, long coriander finish. The flavor is so much reminiscent of marijuana actually!

Solid IPA. The kiwi hops really sing in this one. Pineapple, grapefruit. A hint of dried grapefruit. Pours murky yellow with ok head. Light to medium bitter end. Big profile here. Tangerine. Tap at DC brewery.
