Tropical Galaxy is a cosmic elixir of lush equatorial flavors. We blended mangoes, lime and coconut together in oak foedres with our farmhouse-brett base beer to create a far out and funky tropical treat. We finished it with a generous dry-hopping of Australian Galaxy Hops, contributing aromas of passionfruit and citrus. Enjoy on your next intergalactic odyssey with fresh crab, jerk chicken or scallop ceviche.

375 ml bottle poured into a tulip. Hazy orange with off-white head. Aromas of funk, musty oak, a little raw coconut as it warms up, some floral notes. Tastes of mango, stone fruit, balanced tartness, subtle coconut towards the finish. Funk comes out more as the beer warms up. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Nice.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is mildly funky/yeasty fruits. Med body or almost. Flavor is funky/fruity/yeasty and just a mildish sourishness. Crab? Sadly this is going with mesquite flavored pork. I think it’s gonna work. Great ale here. Seriously.

On Tap at PreFunk Nampa cloudy yellowish peach color with a fine thin skin of bubbles. Funky moderately tart Bret flavors. Nice tropical fruit hop and peach notes. Great mellow tartness. very tasty.

On tap at Prefunk. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong mango, papaya, earth, pine. Thin body, juicy hop, grass, mango, pine, papaya, nice tartness, very good.

Draft at PreFunk Nampa. Milky yellow body with small, sparse head. Tart, lemony aroma, wheat. Taste is mild tartness, more citrus notes. Pretty light bodied.

375 mL bottle poured. One of the less recognizable artwork bottles offered by these guys. I almost missed it in the shelf. Hazy pale golden pour with an active head. A mango and lime heavy aroma, with quite a tart suggestion. Massive coconut up front, with a cooling juicy lime and mango secondary. Not as sur as I would have expected, but enough to solidify its standing in the style. A bit of a soapy character, but that might just be because lime and coconut creates that. A subtle hop impression adds to the craziness. Interesting and unique beer. Fun!

Bottle. Pours very hazy golden, small white head, dissipates to nice lacing. Aroma is tropical indeed, passionfruit, guava, sour mash, light brett. Flavor is light tart, fairly sharp brett funk and loads of tropical hops. Medium body. Yummy.

On tap at prefunk Boise. Pours out a hazy straw color topped with a white head. Nose is plenty of tropical fruit notes and a nice hop touch. Taste is more of the tropical fruit notes a sour tart bite.
