Rye Vs. Rye Medianoche includes the use of four different types of rye in addition to the standard Medianoche grist bill: flaked, malted, crystal, and chocolate malt. This is the most rye malt we’ve ever included in an imperial stout grist bill, making it an exciting and unique starting point. We then aged this rye-heavy Medianoche base in 10-year-old Templeton rye whiskey barrels and four-year-old Willett Family Estate rye whiskey barrels for 28 months. The result is a complex blend of flavors, with notes of cinnamon raisin bread, whipped cream-topped pie crust, allspice, clove, oak, and that signature rye spice we’ve all come to love.

Bottle shared by Tom, thanks! Pours black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has rye and dark grains with some boozy barrel supporting. Flavor has strong dark grains and rye with boozy barrel coming through.
