So I guess the Dragon's Milk name was extended from their line of imperial stout to all their strong beers clocking in at exactly 11% ABV? Not that it matters, but funny. Also, 11% aBV in a 16oz can. I wasn't planning on getting hammered on a Monday night but hey. Pours hazy amber with a sufficiently full head. Nose is surprisingly restrained but shows resinous hops, bready and yeasty notes, I feel that I might be able to smell the alcohol. There's no doubt I can taste it, as apart from the resinous hop flavors and full semi-sweet bready malts, the zing of alcohol comes through hot and heavy, warms in the throat and chest, even on my first very small sip. Bitterness feels restrained and likely because it can't keep up with the gravity of this beer, and its full malt profile. Basically a hoppy barleywine, or the old "American strong ale". Maybe has a cheesy element? there's something a bit weird and funky going on in there. Still its alright, just big and boozy. 4 pack cans from Publix, Oviedo (Alafaya woods). $15.99.

16oz can - part of beer club. Big beer - the barrel aged combo here made almost more of a strong ale than anything. okay

Smells of resinous and citrusy hops with oak. Tastes of piney and citrusy hops, caramel malt, vanilla, and oak. Hops is substantial though perhaps not as palate crushing as I expected/hoped. Good. I don’t get using the Dragon’s Milk name on an IPA though.

16 oz can. Golden pour with a very light haze and a white head. Oaky vanilla aroma, candied citrus, berry, pine. Flavor is also oak, citrus, floral, pine hops, candylike honey/caramel body. Sweet, strong, and satisfying.

Interesting, rather blah. Not sure why it needs to be an 11% 16oz can
