Dominus Double is a refreshing abbey beer with a long-lasting flavour, leaving a well-balanced bitter aftertaste with a spicy touch. Roasted and quite hoppy, the aromas develop elegantly with hints of old, slightly dry wood. It has a crystalline colour, dark red with caramel highlights. The head is thick and creamy.
Dominus Double is ideal for accompanying smoked game or moist dark chocolate desserts.

Bottle, 33cl. A dense, light beige head sits on top of an almost clear, amber body. Sugary, malty aroma with bread and dried fruits. The flavor has much the same, dried fruits and bready malts dominating. Sugar and a generic fruityness too. A nice bitterness chimes in, preventing it from being cloying. Medium to full body, with soft carbonation. Dried fruits, bitterness and bread hints in the end. A quite decent dubbel. 130216

Dobrte piwo dubbel z belgijskimi klasztornymi akcentami. W trapistowskiej szklanicy piana sie prezentuje mizernie ale za to aromat ciekawy aromatyczny i kwiatowy. Smak karmelowo-słodowy, bez goryczy. Kolor czarno-czerwony. Piwo fajnie rozgrzewa i pobudza

330ml bottle, as Double Brune 8.0% abv, nicely served in a Dominus glass at The House of Beer. Clear, brown coloured body. Sediments to the last pour. Huge and rocky off-white head. Sweet fruity hops in flavour with a touch of ripe plums. Gentle and sweet taste of fruits, caramel and brown sugar. Very soft in the mouth. Medium bodied. Good, maybe a bit tedious though (Rethymno, 16.08.2012).
