For our eight anniversary we wanted to bring back some single barrel showcases of the streams that make up our barrel aged stout program. This is 1 of the 3 barrels that make up the blend known as “Streams,” presented on its own, unblended. This beer is our wheat stout stream.
It is a stout we brew that also has a large wheat component in the grist. It is a nightmare to mash and lauter, but the unctuous mouthfeel and decidedly decadent stout base is worth it!
This beer was aged in Wild Turkey barrels for 19 months.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes with light vanilla notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes and vanilla notes with residual sugar notes. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with light discernible alcohol notes. Solid BA stout with a sweet finale.
