Said to enjoy the odd tipple, Thomas Skelton the ghost of Muncaster Castle is still fooling around today. His favourite beer, named after his good self; is a golden amber ale with all the characteristics of a light mild.

Cask@Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Golden syrupy looking beer with a light head. The aroma is light and caramel and the flavour is weak, slightly caramel and dry. Overall a plain beer.

Cask handpull at Folkestone Wetherspoon’s. Copper colour, disappearing bubbly beige head. Some red berry malt fruit aroma. Bit thin in mouth. Not much of a finish. Faint hop. Fine, nothing wrong, just lacks flavour
