Bière de Coupage
A Farmhouse Near is a bière de coupage of aged saison transferred onto Nelson Sauvin hops and a small portion of fresh saison.
This blend of pale-straw saison pours with a lively carbonation and aroma of lemon oil, late-harvest Sauvignon Blanc grapes, and fresh cut flowers. On the palate, A Farmhouse Near displays herbaceous lemon and white grape notes, and finishes with a delicate vanilla-oak and cleansing hop flavour.
A Farmhouse Near is a succinct expression of our twin-love of New Zealand grown Nelson Sauvin hops and barrel-aged mixed-fermentation saison.

Pale, with slight haze. Some brett. Mellow, a bit funky. It's okay.

Bottle pour at Farmhouse Fest 2025, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has some sulfuric/farty notes, harsh astringency, and bitter dry-hopping. Flavour is a little better, with some dry-hopping, astringency, and a touch of phenols. A bit messy, with some off-flavours. Not great.
