Bottle from the brewery.
Hazy light golden color, with a thick and very stable head. Aroma is smoked malt, and some herbal notes. Taste is smokey, mineral, with a nice bitterness too. Pretty complex for such a light beer. Medium carbonation, nice beer.

Leicht eingetrübt goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Rauchiger, malziger, hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, rauchig, hopfig mit Citrus. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Bottle at home picked up from HOTM. A mostly clear golden orange coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is nice big smoked malts, tart lemon, birch smoke, wax jacket. Flavour is composed of flaked grains, wheat, light tart, lemon pinch, mineral, drying chalky finish, birch smoke, .Palate is dry and tart, powdery carbonation. Uber dry in the finish. Interesting, but not my favourite style.

Thanks fonefan! Golden colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is smoked, some mild salty and biscuity tones with a bit herbs too. Flavour is smoked, some tar, mild biscuits, a bit turf as well as some herbs to it. Pleasant and nice! Somewhat dry palate.

500 ml bottle, bb 02/2026. Golden, moderate hazy body, with a big, fluffy head.
Aroma of bacon, wood, some ash, bread, some sweet biscuity malts, slight citric hops. Tastes similar, with more citrus and hop bitterness.
Quite light mouthfeel, with quite a lot of carbonation. Finishes smooth, quite dry, a bit bitter, smokey, mineralic, almost salty, wooden, citric, moderate piney.
Really aromatic for the ABV, with the familiar Schlenkerla smoke profile that I love so much, while also with a lot of citric hop notes that make for a surprisingly fresh character. Too much carbonation for my taste though, I prefer their other beers' better balance in that regard. Still another banger from Schlenkerla, so quaffable!

Rauchiger Geruch. Im Antrunk wenig süß, rauchig, deutliche Herbe, zum Ende auch bitter. Erfrischend. Spritzig, die Rauchigkeit bleibt intensiv, wenig herb, mittellanger Abgang. Nett. 9/10/11/9//10

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with a massive head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of shortbread and lightly smoked malt. Flavour of grass, yeast and subtle smokiness. Thin to medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Very fizzy. Clean and unusual.

Bottle courtesy of Jonas, cheers Jonas! Consumed at Mum and Keith's, Kempsey nr Worcester, Sunday 19th October 2025 after a drive from Spond, Herefordshire. Pours light/mid gold with a mid sized white head, there's a little haze. Nice mouthfeel, very good carbonation, smokey but nicely integrated, the hoppiness is gentle but certainly there. Cannot quite believe that this is 2.9%, there's a lot going on, but it's also the mouthfeel that's fab'.
