Before imperial stouts were sweet, sticky & chocolatey, they were like this!
Still big and strong, with lots of leathery, tobacco, and roast notes - and a touch of umami. Complex and mature.
Inspired by historic recipes.

The brethren provideth. Dark. Inky. Thin foamy beige head soon retreats to the rim. Aroma has jammy sour berries alongside coffee and tobacco. Flavourwise it mirrors the aroma, only with added tobacco and liqourice. The bitterness ramps up. Thick bodied. Oily. Long astringent finish. Noice.
