50cl bottle from Waitrose. Copper with a loose white head; aroma of gooseberry and peach; soft in the mouth with a fuzzy, peachy taste and a sharp grapefruit bitterness. A trifle on the soft and flabby side for me.

Hand-pulled pint in Ye Old Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 29 Jun 2013. Light amber to deep gold in body colour with a clinging head of white foam, the beer was in excellent condition. Citrus feel to the nose and taste: Oakham seem to major on citrusy and tart fruit flavoured beers and this sits nicely in that group. I am not a huge fan of this style, but you have to admire the effort some breweries go to in their quest for different tastes. Great beer if you are into grapefruit and gooseberry flavoured beers. I don’t like fruit tea’s and I don’t really like fruit flavoured beers, my scores are as objective as I can be.

Cask at Oaka, Kennington, 25/06/13. Lightly hazed pale golden with a thin off white head that dissipates edgeward. Nose is juicy hops, orange, citrus, grass. Taste comprises a little grapefruit, orange pith, fresh hops. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish. Tidy little APA.

Bottle from Waitrose. Hazy golden body with a thin off-white head. Very light carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of soap, freshly cut orange and straw. Flavour of satsuma, tinned lychee and grapefruit bitterness. Punchy flavour but very easy drinking. Thin body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A juicy fruit salad bomb - fantastic.

Cask at York Tap. Current beer mats are much more colorful than the picture. Pours translucent gold with a creamy white head. Aroma seems a mix of peach and citrus. Med body. Flavor is mild caramel with some citrus but more berry/light stone fruit. It’s not all that bitter, and seems mildly fruity sweet, but it is really a good tasting ale. Really enjoyed this one.
