Bottle from decaturstevo or jcwattsrugger. I can’t remember which. Pours deep black with offwhite head. Nose is roasted oatmeal, roasted barley and chocolate cereal. Taste is very smooth chocolate cereal. Nice roast character. Well balanced. Dryish finish.

Pours black with light brown head. Roasted malt and chocolate aromas. Flavor is roasted malts with some chocolate. Medium to full body with minimal carbonation.

Aroma: Strong chocolate nose, coffee, oatmeal, roasted malts
Appearance: Dark brown beer, with about an inch of brown head
Flavor: A really tasty porter, sweet chocolate flavor dominates a well mixed malted body
Palate: Relatively full body, nice mouthfeel, a really solid palate
Overall Impression: I liked this one a lot, a truly quality Porter.

Scored this in a trade with daknole. Many thanks! 12oz bottle (2007 vintage I believe) pours a opaque, medium bodied black with brown edges and a creamy, lacing white head. Aroma is nice, chocolate, coffee grounds, sweet malts and a bit of tree bark. Flavor is let down after a nice inviting nose with some chocolate, a little bit of watery coffee, some dark grains and definitely some sugars from the oatmeal. Finish is watery and bland. Looks good, smells good but never delivers beyond that.

12oz bottle-pours a dissipating light brown head that bubbles and black color with red tint. Aroma is cocoa, dark malt/oats, some acidic, dark fruit-raisin. Taste is thin, cocoa, dark malt/oats, some acidic/earthy hops, dark fruit-raisin. Mild carbonation. Thanks to springslicker for sharing.

Bottle from TheBeerCellar. Thanks! Pours medium brown with almost no head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, honey. Almost smells like a granola bar. Bittersweet taste of oats and a hard to peg down fruitiness. Medium body and smooth feel. Very nice beer.

On drought at the brewery.Dark brown body with a substantial, long lasting, mocha head. Complex aroma, nutty, chocolate roast malts, little to no hops. A smooth creamy palate delivers the same flavors expected from the aroma. Surprisingly good.

Not a gusher, thankfully, as the infection hasn’t completely run its course, and I chilled the beer down very low before opening, but it certainly isn’t far from completely gone. Huge, bacteria-induced head, with chunks on the bottom of the bottle and a dark brown-black body with magenta highlights on the edges.
Some remnants of chewy oats and fudge, lightly sweet, are still noteable, but it’s mostly drowned out by a huge excess of phenols (black pepper, some medicine) and dark fruit esters. The increased attenuation from the infection has sapped most of the sweetness, over-exposing the dark malts, which give too much dryness/astringency to the nose now. Some higher alcohol work their way in to the nose as well.
Not much of a drinking experience, with a pretty close approximation of the nose, but with added dirty elements and a stronger phenolic (HEAVY black pepper) presence. Some cola and light chocolate are all that remains. Intensely carbonated from infection.
Kind of exciting, though, as I havent opened an infected bottle in a long time.

Dark brown color; the head disappears quite quickly. The aroma shows also some rotten apple. Caramel/malt taste, still with the fruitness from an overripe apple. Funky (read Papsø below).

My thanks to Brewfiend for sharing. Pretty good stuff. Light smoke in the aroma, but the predominant aroma is bacon. Flavor has bacon as well, along with light malt and just a hint of coffee. I didn’t think the abv was as high as it is, so the alcohol is well hidden.
