Sour ale aged in wine barrels with strawberries. A celebration of the summer harvest, this blond sour ale is loaded with Coastal Seascape Strawberries grown at Dirty Girl Farms in California’s santa Cruz Mountains. These delicious berries are swept by cool evening ocean breezes and drenched in warm daytime sun before being hand-picked and added to this tart and refreshing ale. Enjoy paired with classic charcuterie and summer salads.

Thanks to Scopey for a 375ml bottle of this one. Shared with djoeye and Finn. Noisy, bubbly white head. Close to clear golden body. Spotty lacing. Farmyard and tart berries on the nose. Mixed taste of lemony tartness, gooseberry, and strawberry. Ends tart and dry. Palate cleanser, not a favourite (Tromsø 01.02.2016).

Ekstremt innholdsrik etikett.

bottle from the kihoskh cellar. cloudy yellow, small white head, just a few bubbles. Aroma of wood, leather, funk and perhaps faint white wine. faint herbal note that sort of reveals that this might not be a high end belgian, but a pretty solid aroma nevertheless. flavor is very tart and sour, pretty clean sour, and quite refreshing, not sweet, not much strawbarries if any, but perhaps a faint red fruity note to the flavor. Should i place the taste anywhere, it would be a wood lagered lambic. very sour, a little acidic, but not at all like nail polish, the beer sems very clean sour, really well done, considering it not being belgian. I like the fruit balance, not sure more strawberries would halp anything here, they add just a touch to an already pretty awesome sour.

Bottle from Beergium. Pours hazy orange with a fizzy white head that leaves a slight lacing. Tart aroma with dominant strawberries, vinegar and light caramel. Very sour and tart taste with light strawberries, vinegar and a little bit of green apples and citrus. Lingering tart finish.

Cloudy, yellow-amber colored, small white head, only ring after a short time. Aroma is of caramel malt, vinegar, fruity tart with moderate sourness. Taste is some caramel, low sweet, yeast, bit fruity, lactic and sour, vomit, extreme sourness, dry, too aggressive. Medium to light bodied, average carbonation. Sourness is over the top and all is lost!

Bottle. A hazy, golden beer with a reddish tint and a small, off-white head. Lemony, berryish aroma with a touch of vinegar and some generic fruityness. It’s medium bodied, tart and a bit heavy on the carbonation. Lemony sourness, some strawberry notes, hints of vinegar and peaches in the flavor. Long tart and fruity finish. A bit too much this one, sure, it’s nice, but I’d have a hard time drinking a bottle on my own. 151231
