Sour ale aged in wine barrels with strawberries. A celebration of the summer harvest, this blond sour ale is loaded with Coastal Seascape Strawberries grown at Dirty Girl Farms in California’s santa Cruz Mountains. These delicious berries are swept by cool evening ocean breezes and drenched in warm daytime sun before being hand-picked and added to this tart and refreshing ale. Enjoy paired with classic charcuterie and summer salads.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity sour woody spice strawberry aroma. Fruity sour tart woody strawberry flavor. Has a fruity sour tart woody strawberry finish.

Pale orange, maybe pinkish beer under a white head, gone in secs despite lively carbonation (at least initially). Bit of strawberry and a lot of lactic acid. Fruity, but also bit wild yeast -like nose; unripe fruti, but inviting. Serious acidity, really tart, lemon-like, but with a surprising deep old wine flavour - and not cheap wine either. Lots of complexity and depth. Ultra dry, dry-out effect, spritzy, but pretty light body. Excellent. I really tend to like Almanac ales;

Bottle at Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2015, Ulfborg. Pours clear golden with a small off white head. Aroma of strawberries, light yeast, barnyard and cellar funk. Flavour is light moderate sweet and light heavy sour. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Craft Clerkenwell Bottle Share. Thanks to Dan. Very hazy gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light and crispy. Curious beer. A nice strawberry and sweet cream vibe is overtaken by tart lemon sherbet. The strawberry comes back before a light dry crisp finish. Yeah - works for me.

Bottle thanks to Daniel. Looks like this is my 1000th sour beer! It pours hazy orange-blush with a small white head. The nose is musty, funky, dirty, strawberry, balsamic vinegar and rough cider. The taste is crisp, big bright tartness, strawberry’s & cream, citrus zest, apple cider and hard lemonade. Medium body and fine carbonation. A touch one-dimensional perhaps, but pretty tasty nonetheless.

Bottle shared at a CBC Clerkenwell tasting - London. Thanks to Daniel. Pours hazy gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds lemon and watery strawberry. Light sweet flavor, super acidic, dry, with some bitter hay, rindy citrus. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Very tart on the finish, highly acidic, biting. Just a bit too harsh, really. The beer has lost its balance.
