On draught at City Beer Store. Pours a slight hazy light gold with full white head. Taste and aroma are classic BPA, with moderate Belgian spice and faint banana balancing well with the malt.

[2/20/15] Draught at Societe in San Diego. Clear yellow. Spicy Belgian aroma with a floral hops hint. Sweetish flavor, spicy, with some fruity notes and a slightly bitterish finish. Medium-bodied.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a nice clear gold body that supports a thin off white head. The modest aroma offers up kind of punchy notes like a sharp apricot and lime mixture that gets into a nice little malt graininess at the end of the draw. The taste starts with a little bit of grainy malt sweetness and then sort of slightly tart peach and apricot and maybe a little bit of a pear note going on. This finishes with a pleasing sort of grainy maltiness that is in contrast to the brighter, slightly tart fruitiness.

19th March 2014, San Diegoβs old Fish Market Bar, sat on the terrace facing the bay sunning ourselves. One of five beers that we took during a leisurely afternoon. Clear, almost straw blonde in colour with a white covering for a head. Mild citrus front to the nose and taste, obviously an American take on a Belgian Ale because it tastes nothing like what I was expecting (being a Brit who visits Belgium on a regular basis). I did however enjoy it, some hints of yeastiness within the flavours made it semi-interesting and I found it easy to drink while watching the water lap against the shore.

Tap. Pours clear pale golden, medium creamy white head, great lacing. Aroma is grass, pepper, yeast. Flavor is the same, but of lemongrass, honey, a bit herbal, yeast, green pepper corns. Light sweet, little bitterness. Light body, creamy mouthfeel. Nice.

On tap at Societe, pours a clear pale golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry Belgian hops, dry floral hops, and biscuity malt. Flavour brings out dry biscuity malt and light floral hops. Light and drinkable. Decent, but unspectacular.

Sample at the tasting room. The beer is a clear pale yellow-gold color with a medium white head that dissipates gradually. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, yeast and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, earthy yeast and malt. The finish is hoppy with a clove and yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at the Stone 17th Anniversary Party. A clear pale golden beer with a white head. Pale malts, a generic fruityness and a spiced hint in the aroma. Medium, dry. Nice carbonation. The flavor is mostly on the pale malt side, some fruits and grass kicking in. Some room left for the lightly spiced yeasty touch. Decently bitter finish and flavor. Not extreme in any way, but very drinkable. 130817
