Philosophy: We all know what when it comes to brewing, our team of brewers here at Stone know a great deal about creating some amazing beers. Still on more than one occasion we've all too willingly tossed "conventional wisdom" out the window in the pursuit of the truly extraordinary and unique. You'll find the Stone 4th Anniversary IPA to be no exception as there was no "conventional wisdom" to be found anywhere in the brewery on the day that we crafted this gem.

Draft at Liberty Station. Crystal clear golden yellow color. Fruity aroma. Taste is sweet fruit. Tasty.

Poured a straw colored gold from the bomber with a sudsy white heads. Piney, hoppy, citrus aroma. The flavor is dominated by hops with a lemon citrus flavor. Not incredibly astringent and pleasant to drink.

[Sampled October 2004, 4 years old] An unclear orange-yellow beer with a yellow head. The aroma is sweet and quite hoppy - a lot more so than the 3rd anniversary - and quite hoppy for a 4 year old beer. The flavor is sweet and somewhat aged, with clear hoppy and grassy notes - nice for a 4 year old beer - would have loved to taste this fresh. Thanks to cquiroga for sharing this rarity.
