Keg at BD Shoreditch, 22/08/19. Light black with a decent beige head. Nose is tangy dark berry fruits, acidic nostril twinge, damp wood, soured berry yoghurts, light funk. Taste comprises sour blackcurrants, tarte berries, funk, dry rot, mellow acidity, dark malts, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a tarte climax. Decent sour affair … more a sour than a porter for me.

On keg at Six Degrees North, Edinburgh. Appearance - cloudy brown to black. Nose - bitter chocolate then sour black fruit. HP Fruity Sauce. Taste - all sour plums, blackberries and just a touch of chocolate still. Wine, vinegar and wood tannins too. Palate - medium bodied, tight and lean through middle and there's a long linger. And a touch gnarly. Overall - this ain't no porter! More like a Flemish Brown.
