This is a tasty tribute to a beloved and iconic beer style - the India Pale Ale. The style goes 200 years back - has been through every spectrum of the flavor palette and had it’s ups and downs on the IBU scale. This time around we re-created a contemporary style IPA - basically the taste of the perfect IPA right now. Understated hop flavors, fruity and crisp. The future is now.

Let me ask you, how often do you find yerself drinkin stupid contemporary ubiquitous IPA because its everywhere? I do all the time and I don't even care for the style. So what about the color? I'll give it a 2 because its probably pale yellow, cloudy if I'm lucky. If you think otherwise, I'll raise the number, just beermail me. Smell? Right from the can, it is mildly sweet hop perfume, no sign of recent hop BO, BTW, of which I am glad. Totally big dull hop, past its 24 hours of freshness to be effective, first impression. Yes, big hops, what else is to be expected of an IPA except that many IPA try to be a double IPA? Some kind of big civilized attempt? Forget about it, this is just another big dull, past the week of expected, hop tasting bonanza. So be it. What else can be erected, oops I mean expected? Nothing.

355 ml. can – drank from the can. Canning date is impossible to read. Nose is murky oddly stale yeast, milky grapefruit peel, old medicine. Taste is far too heavy on stale yeast, feels like old yeast, bitter plaster, grapefruit peel,… Fresh, all of the other Evil Twin cans from that shipment at the store were very fresh, stored col etc. Still heavy yeast, plaster, old medicine, oddly feels like an older old school IPA to me. Not what I expected at all, given the tittle it seems like a cynical joke on NEIPA’s. I didn’t get it or the high score on here but my taste in IPA’s tends to diverge heavily from the standard, still I felt shorted.

Clear blond beer, big fizzy aery off-white head, falls down pretty quickly, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, ripe tropical fruits, mango, some passion fruit, sweet caramel malts, bit piny and resinous, grapefruit notes, some kiwi. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, peach, pineapple juice, some banana, bitter, grapefruit, nice stuff, pretty dank as well. Aftertaste: hoppy, little malty, some caramel, bitter, more grapefruit, resinous, some citrus, dry finish, lots of pineapple juice. Me like a lot!

Boks 33cl på Agenturet. Aroma sitrus, humle, karamell, nøtter, malt. Utseende uklar gul til gylden med hvitt skum. Smak sitrus, grapefrukt, karamell, humle, malt. En frisk og god ipa med god bitterhet. Godt øl ---

0.355l can. Clear golden body with a solid white head. The aroma has a bready malt base and on that some apricot, pine, mango and grapefruit. Taste of bread, grapefruit, pine, mango and some bubble gum. Quite bitter and dry. I would even say that the body is a bit too weak for the bitterness. Overall it’s a nice IPA.

Draft at District Tap House. Hazy orange pour, frothy white head. Streaky lace that sticks around on the glass. Nice, clean fruity aroma. Some tropical hops, citrus rind, grass, and resiny notes. Tingly feel, nice dryness to the close. Really solid. Drinks quick and easy despite being slightly over-carbonated. Could drink more of this, and I like it pretty, but at the same time it feels kinda forgettable.

0,33l can from Beergium. Hazy, light golden beer with medium white head. Aroma is strong. It has lots of exotic fruits; mango, citrus and floral hops. Taste is not so fruity. It is more bitter and dry with some grapefruits, grass and bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation.
