500ml bottle. Wonderful, cloudy, dark purple colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing,pink-ish, off-white head. Sour-ish, funky and fruity aroma, notes of blackcurrant, bretty spiciness, lactic tartness, some white pepper. Taste is dry, tart, fruity, malty spicy, slightly tangy, mildly funky, notes of blackcurrant, hints of morello, redcurrant, a touch of bramble, mild vinegar, mild sauerkraut. Oily-watery texture, minimally astringent palate, slightly coarse, prickly carbonation. Well balanced, ambitious and challenging, but in no way overdone - yes, accessible is the right term. Sufficiently rich and complex, not restrained - but off-putting neither.

Bottle from Fierce. It pours hazy rich bright purple with a thick, fluffy light purple head. The aroma is bright and zingy, rich blackcurrant and jammy berry character, tangy, purple chewits, light spice, oak and light funk. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, zingy, puckering, bright, juicy, jammy, plenty of blackcurrant, bramble, granny smith apple, lactic, oak, hint of tannin and a nip of acidity. Finish dry and puckering blackcurrant. Medium body and fine to moderate carbonation. Lovely fruit forward sour. Moreish and quaffable. Tasty.
