Don’t be fooled by the strength, this is one easy drinking beer. A rich, sweet barley wine with a heady, alcoholic nose and incredibly complex flavour profile. Brewed since 1994 by appointment to the Queens Royal Lancers. They’re tough enough to sink a few… are you?

Даже прикольно, хоть и снова Британская вариация на тему охоты крепкой, но все же приятная карамель какая то. Есть в этом какая то романтика.

Bottle from rotbox. Probably from circa 2010. An oily cola brown coloured pour with no head. Aroma is aged fruit cake, mint, musty, nutty malts, liquorice. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, fruit cake, cola cubes, mint, rich fruit cake. Palate is oily, sticky, very low, fine carbonation. Held up pretty well.

From bottle @ Borefts 2013. Amber color. Peach, lychee and toffee in the aroma. Grassy earthy floral hops and some ripe fruit in the alcoholic flavor. Decent, but no top class.
