Boone knows how to make dang good beverages, and it’s not just beer. Hatchet Coffee Roasters, exactly 1 mile down the road, has been roasting a beautiful Guatemalan (San Luis El Volcancito) from the same family farm since 2016. We took our Robust Porter brewed with lactose and molasses and cold conditioned it on their coffee, and out comes one of Booneshine’s most requested brews – filled with chocolatey aromas, silky texture and robust roasted coffee flavors.

3 week old pint can A: Poured clear dark amber brown with little head or retention. A porter that could pass for an amber. S: Thick creamy coffee with caramel then faint chocolate. T: Surprisingly bitter, seemingly from herbal or woody hops, then a mix of dry, ashy roast coffee and tart plums. All converge beautifully. M: Fairly light and well carbonated but goes down heavier than it feels in the mouth. O: Looks, feels and smells pretty average but boy does it taste great.

Draft at the source. Dark brown color tan head. Aroma and taste of earthy coffee grounds while retaining its body and beeriness.
