Lager with orange blossoms & natural flavor added

The soft citrus of orange blossom gives this Helles lager a bright note and complements its sweet honey malt, leading to a smooth round finish.

Fresh beery mild sweet flower aroma. Pale, visually lively carbonation and a thin head. Helles it is. At first, a little medicinal. Added flavors almost take over the flavor but never do. Yes, that spice thang is totally present. Becomes more prominent as the session continues. Big gulp is livable, just barely. In the end comes across with more alky personality than what is said and it should be styled spice herb veggie. JMHO.

12 or 16 oz draft pour at AMC Tysons Corner’s MacGuffins bar. Thanks Rico! Clear golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of malt, citrus, corn, biscuit. Tastes of malt, citrus, light floral notes, biscuit. Light body with a dry finish. Pretty tasty, nice surprise.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 6/2017. Pours fairly crystal clear medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with fatnastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, orange zest, honey, cracker, biscuit, flowers, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hops, orange blossom petals, and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, orange zest, honey, cracker, biscuit, flowers, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, orange zest, honey, cracker, biscuit, flowers, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops, orange blossom petals, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Slightly drying, Very clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.4%. Overall this is a very nice Munich Helles. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops, orange blossom petals, and pale malt flavors; very smooth, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful and well balanced; vibrant hop/flower notes with bready pale malts. Never to bitter or dry, very well made for the style; even with the unique hop/spice additions. A very enjoyable offering.

12 oz bottle in Laguna Niguel, California on 6th Feb 2017. Poured slowly into a Lowenbrau (Munchen) tulip glass in my daughters new house. Pale amber/golden body, full white head of tight bubbles. Slight orange/citrusy nose and flavour, getting stronger as the beer warmed in the glass: some sweetness also arrives which in turn adds a mildly bitter sourness to the finish. Preferred it cold when it had less aroma and taste to be honest.

If you’ve never had orange blossom honey, try this beer. Almost cloyingly sweet.

12 ounce bottle. Bright brassy gold color topped by a small foamy white head. Buttery, grainy malt aroma. Flavor is tart, grainy malt with citrus accents. Middle has bready, hay-like notes. Dry grassy hop finish.
