22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 1/26/2017. Pours very hazy deep orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger foamy off white head with poor retention, that reduces to a thin ring of lace pretty quickly. Minimal lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/tangy apricots, peach, lemon, lime, green apple, white grape, plum, cherry, hay, straw, pepper, toasted oak, wheat, and bread; with light musty/leathery funk, vanilla, apple cider vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, apricots, oak barrel, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy apricots, peach, lemon, lime, green apple, white grape, plum, cherry, hay, straw, pepper, toasted oak, wheat, and bread; with light musty/leathery funk, vanilla, apple cider vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness and light yeast/tannic oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of sour apricots, peach, lemon, lime, green apple, white grape, plum, cherry, hay, straw, pepper, toasted oak, wheat, bread, light funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, apricots, oak barrel, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness balance. Minimal puckering after the finish, with no sour/tannic astringency. Light-moderate dryness from tart/sourness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/acidic/grainy, and slightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.3%. Overall this is an awesome fruited sour ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, apricots, oak barrel, and bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink; thanks to the mellow/balanced acidity/sourness. Very impressive and well rounded wild/sour complexity, with nice oak presence; and great malt balance. A really enjoyable offering.

Bottle/Fest. A- Apricot puree, subtle funk. A- Golden color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Apricots, medium sourness, subtle funk. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, refreshing finish. O- This is straight to the point and I love it. Lots of apricot throughout and only a very mild touch of funk and just enough sourness. Really a delicious beer that I would love to have around during the dog days of summer.
