Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: dark pink to red color with a quickly dissipating semi-foamy to slightly fizzy head which barely left any lace
Aroma: dark sweet and tart cherry flesh and skin with some orange tones and sour dark berry sort of backing; light funk and slight acidic to vinous tones
Flavor: sour and tart blends with the prior noted aromas while the sweet stablizes the underneath; finishes with the cherry tart and sweet accents
Texture: medium bodied, great sipper! Light smoothness but also light tart aggression to the tongue
Overall: nicely done cherry sour ale well worth my time and worthy of returning to.

Short bottle pours a translucent orange with just a little white head. Nose has some sour orange and then clear cherry, both under ripe cherry and some tart cherry. Flavor has cranberry and cherry and grapefruit and a little pomegranate vinegar. Finished nearly full bodied, medium high acid.

Sample at GABF 10/07/2017, thanks to my bro for assistance with note-taking. Hazy pinkish-ruby color with a thin pinkish-white head that evaporates steadily. Short strings of lace. Aroma of tart cherry, funky yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of cherry pie filling, yeast and doughy malt. The finish is tart with a cherry aftertaste. Good beer overall.

bottle from beergium. hazy light red, small white head. aroma has sour notes, sweetened cherries notes, marzipan notes. flavor is very sour, with a sweet fresh fruity layer on top of that. Not as bretty as i had expected, almost tastes like a lambic based fruit beer, as i like those better this is only a positive. the sour flavor is clean and straight sour, alc, which is almost 7%, is well hidden, you'd never tell.. woody notes are nearly non existant, but show themselves in the aftertaste as a dry woody bitterness. Biggest problem with this expensive bottle is that it seems to become empty way too fast. great sour. Cherry flavor is fresh cherries, it's only in the aroma they appear a bit like "cocktail" cherries.

375 ml bottle, bottled 02/23/17, shared by PowY, thanks!
Red, hazy body, with a medium, fluffy, light beige head.
Aroma of barnyard, cherries, oak, red berries, apples, some citrus.
Tastes of sweet cherries, red berries, moderate oak, some barnyard, subtle vinegar, apples, some unripe pears.
mouthfeel, with a carbonation.
Finishes smooth, dry, wooden, fruity, moderate acidic, subtle funky, with cherries, apples, pears.
Tasty. Really balanced and smooth, while also pretty complex. Lovely cherries notes, with enough funky and barrel. Not my favourite Almanac, but close, really great stuff.
