Cherry Picker is our newest fruit-forward Brettanomyces ale. After hand-selecting our best Brett beer barrels with the brightest fruit character, we added Balaton and Montmorency cherries picked from the very highest tree branches, closest to the sun, for maximum ripeness. We then blended the components back together, fusing Brett funk with cherry pie aromas to create a rich, crimson, cherry bomb of a beer.

On tap. Pours an orange garnet with moderate head. Aromas of woody cherries and wheat malts. Flavors follow. Nice and clean but thin and nothing special. Over rated.

Draft - Cherry notes, slightly sweet and sour. Cloudy copper with a decent white head. Soured sweet cherry notes and a light cherry finish.

375 ml bottle poured into a tulip. March 2017 edition.Hazy reddish with beige head. Aromas of cherries, vanilla, some oak and funk. Tastes of cherries, toffee, light tartness. Light body with a dry finish.

Draft at As Is, 5/31/17. Reddish color. Cherry aroma and flavor. Lightly tart, lightly funky, a little oak. Pretty decent mouthfeel. Refreshing and nice. Not overly sticky or overly tart. Good stuff.

(On tap @ Bottlecraft Little Italy, SD, April 2/17) Pours lightly hazed pale red with a big loose white head and lace. Aroma of sweet and tart cherries, funky Brett, light vanilla, oak, strawberry, light cheese, cherry pit. Flavour is light tart cherry, mineral, crisp, club soda, light Brett, strawberries, light creamy vanilla oak notes, cherry pit and skin in the back. Lightish body, soft but prickling carb. It’s on the crisp and refreshing side, maybe not tons of complexity but the elements are nicely put together.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish, medium off-white head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is full of cherries, fruits and skins, some funk and oak. Flavor is light tart, cherries galore, nice almanac funk. Medium body. I really like this one.
