Myrkvi is an unfiltered full-bodied Porter Ale with a dark twist. It is seasoned with coffee from Huila in the southwest of Colombia, specially roasted by Reykjavík Roasters. The coffee gives this ale its depth in cooperation with a variety of roasted malts. Myrkvi is an Icelandic given name, meaning the dark one.

33cl bottle from friend, many thanks. Big, tanned, average retention head. Dark, opaque colour. Aroma is coffee, caramel, cocoa, bit dark fruits, dark roasted malts of course. Taste is medium dark malts base, coffee, cocoa, bit dry herbal, dark dried fruits, dark bread crust, medium carbonation, good balanced for the style, enjoyed.

33 cl. bottle @ dB's, Utrecht. Dark brown to black with a beige head. Nice coffee and roasted malts aroma. Semi-bitter taste with a long creamy bitter finish. Bit thin bodied but otherwise very satisfying.
