Das "Rauchbier" vom Eschenbräu wurde auch 2025 wieder in Bockstärke (6 %) eingebraut, ist also schon eine Art Rauchbock. - Dunkelbraun, schöner Schaum. - Sahnig-fülliger Antrunk mit dunkel-karamelligem, fein röstigem Malz, Kaffee und so dezenter Rauchigkeit, daß die delikate, leise exotische zitrusfruchtige Hopfung zur Geltung kommt. Im Abgang ebenso sauber hopfenherb wie kaffeebitter und meinen Geschmack nur leicht rauchig. Beim 2. Glas deutlich karamelsüßer und noch weniger rauchig. - Wuchtiger aber ausgereifter Rauchbock, charakterstark und dabei sehr rund (was erfreulicherweise auf so gut wie alle Erzeugnisse vom Eschenbräu zutrifft, die ich in den letzten Monaten probieren konnte). Draft at the source. Clear deep amber color, fluffy tan head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of campfire and burnt bacon. Taste is meaty burnt straw. Very tasty.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy and golden amber to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is mild smoked and roasted malty.smoked, maty and ham. Bitter, toasted malty and meaty smoked finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Murky brown with a huge tan head. Aroma is toast, smokey bacon. Flavour is quite subtle to begin with, a creamy light caramel that grows more and more smokey leading to a long satisfying smoked bacon and toasted malt finish
