Imperial Pastry Stout

Mista Hustla is a big, bold distinguished pastry stout and proudly “Pastry AF.” We start with a dense, multi-grain mash and fold in velvety peanut butter and rich hot chocolate, then hustle in the lactose for an extra-creamy, dessert-like mouthfeel. Slowly conditioned in stainless steel, this impy stout unleashes waves of molten chocolate fudge and toasted peanut undertones before finishing on a luxuriously smooth vanilla note.

Very sweet, cloying, sugary dark malts, faint roast, mellow roast, raisin, liquefied berries. Cynical. Wouldn’t want to drink much of this.

Bottle split at Craft Beer Junction, thanks to the Wingmane, 12/11/2025.
Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a lasting khaki head.
Nose is chocolate, roast malts, toffee, dried fruit rinds.
Taste comprises chocolate, peanut butter, dark malts, light spice, brown sugar melt.
Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced boost.
Tidy.

From a 440ml can on 19/8/2025. Pours a clearish deep brown with a small to medium light tan head. The nose is choc fugdey, cakey with a touch of peanut butter. Like most One Drop pastry stouts, the sweetness is dialled up to full. It gives you milk chocolate, chocolate fudge, vanilla cream, peanut butter and a little marzipan. There's a nice countering bitterness at the back which is a bit salty, a bit roasty and lingers nicely. The palate is slick and a bit creamy. The carbonation is softish to moderate.
