This crazy smoothie definitely took us the longest time from idea and first tests to realization. It turns out that incorporating ice cream into beer is not at all easy.
Thanks to a long brainstorming session by our R&D team - this sounds serious - and finally the ideal ice cream we've been looking for a long time, we've arrived to our new smoothie series - 'I scream'.
The first edition is the all-time classic Freddy Krueger from 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' which brings you a generous amount of sour cherry, and banana, with a whopping amount of chocolate/hazelnut ice cream.
Contains real fruit. Don't age. Keep in a refrigerator. Drink fresh. For best experience, gently rotate the can few times.
THIS IS WHY WE BREW!

Can at De Markies, Leeuwarden. Ridiculously pulpy, thick body, puree, cherries, banana. Hoped for more chocolate/hazelnut. Tart flavour, light sourish, some sweetness. Over the top.

Canned 500ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him & Hrabren. What's too much is too much. Murky purple coloured, no head at all, some berries and banana in the nose. Light berries, banana, weak acidity and some chocolate touch in the finish. Hardly to call this a beer. All in all awful combination.

Can from Goblet, with Hrabren and Ogi... oh wow... now THIS is a smoothie... took over a minute to pour fully, very creamy, no foam to speak of. Lovely aroma though! Sour cherry - check! Banana - oh definitely check! Hazelnut - yup! Smoothie taste, somewhat tart, fantastic combination of hazelnut, cocoa and sour cherry, banana showing more to give the body there. Barely a beer, but damn tasty it is!

0.5 l can shared with Ogi and Marko. Incredibly thick, chunky, lilac to purple, minimal head. Aroma is fruity, dark fruit candy, blueberry and dark cherry. After a while hint of chocolate ice-cream. A touch of cinnamon and nuts. Smooth, full body, soft carbonation, soft tartness, mostly sweet, ice-cream like liquid. Flavour is a blueberry, chocolate and hazelnut ice-cream as it says on the tin, basically. Finishes sweet with a tart note. Pleasing but one-sided. Still a difficult style to make right and hats off for that, once again.
