Bügelverschlußflasche (purchased at the brewpub): Golden coloured, slightly hazy, visible carbonation, firm white head; distinctive sweet-malty nose with an impressive aromatic hoppy touch (Tettnang ?); solid sweet-bitter flavour, smooth MF; clean sweet malty, a bit grainy finish with a good dash of hops and traces of yeast. Fine stuff, improved by the touch of a nun’s hand.......

(swing top bottle, bought at the brewery tap) Slightly hazy, pale golden colour with a fluffy, slowly lacing white foam. Moderately sweet, slightly yeasty grainy nose with a touch of sour dough and herbal hops. Compared to the Vollbier Hell the grainy malt is more accentuated and there is more residual malty sweetness. The light yeasty touch harms the hops a little bit. Nice one but I prefer the better matured Vollbier.
