Red Agnes

Schramm’s Red Agnes is more finely balanced and perceivably less sweet than her Scottish cousin, Black Agnes. Red currants provide deep floral aromatics, a fruitier initial impression, more focused acidity, and a stunning cardinal hue. Lighter and more quaffable than Black Agnes, this mead is dangerously drinkable with a delicately balanced acidity which allows the honey and fruit to sing in harmony together.

Bottle. Pours deep red. Honey, sweet intense floral honey, tart currant, sage, super fragrant. Gorgeous oily body. Phenomenal.

Intensely tart with red grapes and red wine. A bit too tart for my preferences but still quite pleasant.

Pours clear, dark amber-red. Scent is intense, herbal fruit (red current, but I don't know that myself on its own ). Taste is thick, juicy, fruity, mildly herbal as well ( must be typical about the fruit ). Nice honey base, very refined as well. pretty damn good.

375ml bottle. Sweet, stingy aroma with some red currant, super smooth and complex taste with loads of honey, dry finish, tartish berries. Super well balanced taste, but the aroma feels a bit off.
