Deep dark brown with a slight ruby tinge, and a bubbly / frothy tan head and soft roasted malt, a touch of caramel and maybe a hint of vanilla on the nose. Light to medium bodied, fresh and fruity, some roasted malt, chocolate with vanilla notes, finishes dry and a little bitter.

On this drinking day in 1949 the Queen Charlotte Earthquake took place in Canada measuring 8.1 - it's not had a larger one since. This Queen is worth measuring too, with the vanilla heavy in aroma, providing a smoothness to texture, although it's somewhat bitter with its roasted malts in taste. Dark brown colour.
