Draught at Mystic Station, 4/7/18.
Light gold with a hint of brass-copper. High clarity with a white head that fades slowly to cover.
Lemon, biscuit and floral Brett notes show a well-aged version of their saison. Still some citrusy hop, but it's faded and replaced by Brett character. Cream-of-wheat and lightly nutty notes rise from the malt/wheat and it's clean, with no resin or alcohol. Very spicy as it warms.
Soft and lemony in the mouth with lots of biscuit and spicy Brett character. Remants of hops with a bit of soapiness. Dry and malty, with great carbonation levels and very engaging. Other than the light perfume and peppery spice, there isn't a lot of actual Brett character. No strong citrus nor any band aid, leather, hickory, horseblanket, etc...Mostly just a soft, even, spicy, well-aged version of their delicious FPA. No surprise there.

On tap at Hatchet Tap and Table.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to yellow color with a light transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. A thin white layer of head roams around the top of the glass nicely. Light lacing runs here and there in a messy sort of way.
The smell had sweet bready malts roll over subtle sweet grassy notes. Light lemon glosses in and around the rest of the aroma.
The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors and combined them nicely. Bready aftertaste, sweet citrus finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs smooth. Bitterness, what bitterness, this has got to be one of the smoothest saisons Iβve ever had.
Overall, what a nice smooth sweet bready saison that I would have again.

On tap at Goods from the Woods 2014 with Festero. Funky pale ale, different, but it works.

On tap @ BierCab. This is a slightly clouded one, more deep blurry perhaps golden orange in color and a nice big bright white top. Saisonish Belgian aromas, apples and candied sugar. High on the bubbles with a nice oily mouthfeel. Really pleasant fresh flavors. some yeast, ripe fruits and definitely green apples. Brett? Some alcohol hints also detected. Easy to enjoy in the heat! 05.08.2014
