This special beer is deep, lustrous red. An ale rich with toffee and gentle spice flavours. It is dry-hopped with East Kent Goldings to give a herbal lift and earthy finish.

A wonderfully smooth rye beer that is well-rounded, with a happy ending!

Brewed with 6 malt grains – Maris Otter, Rye, Crystal Rye, Roasted Barley, Crystal 150 and Wheat. And 3 hops – Target, East Kent Goldings and Challenger.

Cask at the King's Head, Aylesbury, 23/08/2025.
Deep chestnut to reddish brown topped with a beige cap.
Nose is toffee, candied fruit rinds, brown bread, caramel.
Taste comprises fruit loaf, candied fruits, toffee, spice, herb, biscuit malts.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close.
Tidy cask offering.
