4% - Hefeweizen - A simple blend of 50% wheat and 50% pils malt keep this beer light and bright. We brewed this beer with a double decoction which allows for an extended (90 minute) ferulic acid rest and fermented with a classic Hefe strain, promoting enhanced clove phenolics in the finished beer. Throw on a lemon if you want, we won’t be mad.

Can shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Pale, hazy yellow with tons of sparkle, large head with good retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong wheat, lemon peel, clove. Taste is strong wheat, clove, late hint of banana. Smooth, frothy texture, lively carbonation and finish as taste. Good Hefeweizen, especially for the ABV.

16 oz can. In a trade with craftyhalfpint. Thanks Linda & Scott. Served in the proper vessel. Aroma shows wheat and mild grain. Flavor is soft and balanced. Mild clove, very light banana with a decent wheat backbone. Yeast phenolics are not overstated. Simple, straightforward, and easy to drink.

Real light Hefe. Good banana and clove flavor. Crushable, especially with this humidity.
