High 11 is a blend composed of 67% barrel aged imperial stout and 33% barrel aged barleywine. It leans into the Black Barleywine style, but with one foot a little more on the roasty stout side than some other beers being labeled ‘Black Barleywine’.
The aroma is filled with some spicy oakiness, vanilla, apple brandy, light plum, and dark chocolate. And the flavor follows suit with big notes of dark chocolate Werthers, toffee, light plum, and notes of roasted coffee with enough roast to really balance out the sweetness giving a nice drying finish that won’t sugar coat your teeth.

On tap at LHK Noodle Bar, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of sticky dark sugars, bourbon, brandy, and caramel. Flavour is exquisitely complex, with wonderful brandy barrel depth, dark dried fruits, bourbon, oak, and some toffee. Wonderful barrel character, great blend; wonderful sugars and malt depth. Beauty.
