Presenting our Imperial Stout version of Moon Dust, our celebrated core stout that was the second beer ever brewed in Mountain Culture’s Katoomba home and remains a cult favourite to this day.
We’ve taken all of the smooth coffee and chocolatey goodness of our beloved Moon Dust and, well basically, just doubled it.

Draft at Mountain Culture, Redfern. Sydney. Poured almost black in colour with a frothy round tan head. The aroma is roasty, tonka. The flavour is moderate sweet and liquorice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, somewhat light, red berry fruits, boozy alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a surprisingly bubbly mouthfeel.

Can. Black, a tan cap fizzes to less less than a coat. Aroma of chocolate, liquorice, roast some coffee and caramel, Indian sweet shop spices (cardamom, anise, mace, galangal etc). Full bodied. Sweet with bittersweet spices and more savoury roast and some bitterness. The latter do a better job of balance than in Moon Dust and there is more intrigue in the spices. Very good.
