West Coast Pils je spojením klasického nemeckého ležiaku s intenzitou americkej IPA a teší sa obľube medzi ľuďmi, ktorí radi chmeľ v piteľnejšom prevedení. My sme sa s ním trochu pohrali tým, že aj tá americká časť pochádza z Nemecka – oni si totiž chmeľnice v konzervatívnych krajoch všimli, že svetu chutia voňavé pivá, a pracujú na šlachtení intenzívnejších chmeľov.
Moderné nemecké odrody Hallertau Blanc, Ariana a Tango intenzitou nezaostávajú za tými americkými a do Uhupils priniesli riadny kus tropiky. O povedomú bylinnú horkosť sa postaral osvedčený žatecký chmeľ, takže výsledok je presne taký, ako ho máme radi: číre, suché, horké pivo s výbušnou chmeľovou aromatikou.

Draught Good if disparate head over clear golden beer. Herbs, and especially Asian hergs, and asafoetida from the hops. Not very remarkable, however. Sweetish, with again some asafoetida, as well as exotic fruit. Wet dog. Light body, medium if invisible carbonation. IPL is nothing new, but usually less sweet.

On tap at Billie's Craft Beer Festival. Piney, grapefruity and lightly resiny. Dry, quenching and quite delicious. Sure pushing the boundaries for pilsner. 747415 251107

Canned, from Craftbeer Solnični, Brno. Clear golden, coarse head. Aroma of citrus and kiwifruit.mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Grass, passionfruit and grapes. Mid bitter finish.

A clear golden beer with a big white foam. Aroma of grassy and spicy hops, pale malt. Taste of spicy bitter hops, pale malt, hay, straw.

Canned 500ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him & Hrabren. Pale yellow coloured, medium sized white head, lively carbonation, light herbal and fruity nose. Herbal, fruity, light resinous and touch of grapes. Dry finish.

0.5 l can thanks to Marko who brought it from Prague, shared with Ogi and him. Clear golden, small off-white head. Moderately fruity, white grapes, pineapple, apricot. Hints of resin, bitter herbs and zest. Malts. Smooth, light body, quite thin, bland, minimal bitterness. Flavour is herbal, mineral, grapes, some pineapple, malts. Dry.

Can, shared at SvS and then with the Croatian crew. Shiny yellow body, white head. Dank oniony aroma. Resinous, soft taste, herbal, lightly dank and fruity, low bitterness .Solid!

Thin body, med-light carbo. Medium bitterness, low sweetness. Quite dry, malt in the background. Med-high lemongrassy, nelsony. Clean, crisp, good.

Justičná tasting 9/2025. Hazy yellow color with white head. Aroma of citrus hops, light tropcial fruits. Taste is hop centered with with citrus, floral notes, light teoocial fruits.
