The Summer was made for backyard BBQs. Family. Beer. Plenty of beer. Because nothing washes family down better. This delicious and light ale was made with 100 lbs of house-smoked wheat malt imparting the very essence of grilling out. We then added 2.5# of salt to the boil for a savory note to compliment that watermelon. 12 pureed and added to the fermenter, post-fermentation to be exact. The resulting beer is a refreshing affirmation of life. Aromatically smoky, slightly sweet and grainy with a briny finish. The answer to all those sweaty hugs you’re going to have to endure from your favorite Aunt.

Tap@Fermentoren, Copenhagen - Golden pour with white head. Aroma and taste is malty and smokey, some charred meaty notes, melon notes with some burnt smokey straw, grassy hoppy action, some salt, charred smokey notes into the finish.

Draft: Clear gold, with a small, white head. Aroma is watermelon rind, salt, light smoke. Wow.......easily the best watermelon beer I’ve had the pleasure of tasting.... No joke, the best summery-accented beer I can remember having.....Watermelon, salt, a little camp/bonfire smoke.....remarkable.

Draft. Smoky salty watermelon and malt aroma. Golden yellow with nice off-white head. Light wood smoke, salty watermelon, malt, and straw flavor. Body on the light side. This is delicious - these guys know how to use melons. Even the incestuous double entendre doesn’t detract from my pleasure.
