Sampled on draft at Hugo's this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy dark tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was dry and roasty with wood, a touch of smoke and red wine. Very long finish. Medium body.

Draft at Craft. Very dark clear maroon brown color. Cocoa aroma. Taste is rich bitter earthy coffee grounds and cocoa powder. Very tasty.

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of light roast, caramel, malt. Tastes of malt, light roast, caramel. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

On draft at Spacebar in Falls Church. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of leather and toasted malt. Flavors of grain and licorice. Smooth with a roasty finish.
