This new beer is inspired by the Evolved Caractère Rouge from 5 years ago with an exotic twist (mango & raspberry). The new Evolved Caractère is an answer to a new trend combining sour beers with fruit to get a more balanced taste. Former Caractère Rouge consumers will love this new SKU, and with the fruity twist we expand to an even broader audience.

Bottle at Brugge BF. Clear orange red amber colour. Lasting off white head. Mixed fruit aroma. Mostly red fruits. Some sourness. Yes good fruits. Not complex but pretty drinkable. And I do like Rodenbach so I am designed to liked their beers.

Sorgligt!

Pours clear, pale red with a small head. Aroma is dominted by raspberries with light notes of vinegar and liqorice. Surprisingly thin body. Flavour is lots of rasperries with notes of red currants and vinegar. Where’s the mango?

750ml bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours ever so slightly hazy red with a decent white head. The aroma is super jammy, bursting with red fruits, raspberry, strawberry jam, cranberry, but also tropical vibes of sour mango, peach, tangy, strawberries with balsamic vinegar, musty, touch of funk and red wine vinegar. The taste is crisp, tart and tangy upfront, kick of acidity, red wine vinegar/balsamic vibes, loads of tart red berries, raspberry, strawberry, some cranberry, sherbet, fizzy candy, cherry tangfastics, raspberry leaf, tropical vibes of crunchy mango, dry oak, muted tannins and subtle alcohol presence. Finish is dry oak. Medium body and moderate+ fluffy carbonation. Super fruity but still very much rodenbach. Tasty.
