This beer’s name sums up the ideas of bringing the best together to celebrate. It is filled with seasonal flavors from generous amounts of toasted and caramel malts, mixed with equally generous amounts of honey, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. We feel it is the perfect libation, filled with flavors of the season.

Thanks Tracy for sending!
Two bottles, one was poured into a snifter and the other was poured into a pint glass. There wasn’t any difference between the two glasses.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing sticking and then sliding down into the beer.
The smell had a wonderful sweet honey up front and as it warmed there’s a nice spicy ginger with a light cinnamon. Light vanilla comes in from behind to balance.
The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors and combined them with a nice allocation of nutmeg. Light caramel comes out in the taste as well. The aftertaste was light and semi - sweet through the honey that ends up leading to a sticky sweet honey finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat subdued but still was good for the most part. There’s a nice smooth honey rolling over my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a wonderful Winter Warmer that provides a nice session and could go well with it’s respected foods.

Clear copper with medium off-white head. Aroma is cinnamon, medium body, low carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is cinnamon and ginger. I prefer Great Lakes Christmas Ale.

bottle - This dark brew has a lingering off-white head and an aroma of caramel and dark fruit. It tastes of sweet caramel malt and spices with a roasted finish and a little chocolate. It’s full bodied and pretty good.

Bottle. Amber body with an off-white head. Aroma of nutmeg, all-spice, cinnamon, toasted grain, alcohol. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Overly spiced, overly sweet and overly boozy.

Smells like ginger. Watery consistency. Low carbonation. Good lacing with amber colour, but not much here. This certainly isn’t the partridge on the pear tree. Tap at Hopcat.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, Winter 2012 bottling. Pours lightly hazy red-orange amber color with a nice 1-2 finger dense off white head with nice retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of big honey, caramel, ginger, raisin, nutmeg, cinnamon, toast, light clove, and light herbal. Damn nice aromas with good strength and balance. Taste of caramel, toast, ginger, honey, raisin, apple, cinnamon, nuttiness, and light herbal. Lingering notes of caramel, toast, honey, ginger, cinnamon, raisin, apple, and nuttiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of malt/spice flavors; with zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and slightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with almost zero warming present on the finish. Overall this is an excellent winter warmer. Nicely balanced and robust flavors with good complexity; and extremely smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering as expected; this is definitely the better offering vs the GL version.

Bottle. Ginger, nutmeg, and molasses malt aroma. Smells just like ginger bread. Hazy copper amber with a moderate tan head. Strong cardamom, ginger, and nutmeg flavor, and a touch of molasses. Medium body, soft carbonation. Cardamom was a little overpowering. It’s a spice better used with a light hand.

Bottle. Strong ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon aroma. Dark amber with large tan head. Sweet spicy malt flavor - ginger and nutmeg primarily. Not bad - like a pumpkin beer without the pumpkin.

12 ounce bottle. Amber orange color with a small bubbly beige head. fragrant malt aroma redolant with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Sweet toasted malt flavor is dominated by the holiday spices. Slightest hint of honey noticeable. Bitter grapefruit hops in finish. This is all spices and not much else. Been there, done that.
