It’s been too long since you’ve spent time with your favourite people and are in the midst of them all at a get together at your home. You’re pleasantly overwhelmed by the cornucopia of scents and sounds around you. Everyone has walked with their favourite dish and roars of laughter can be heard from across the street. As you clink your bottle of a ginger Shandy Carib ginger with your father’s bottle of sorrel Shandy Carib, you take a moment to relish the memories being made.
The following weekend, deep-blue waves are in front of you, golden sand is sinking beneath your feet and your gaze is fixed upon the horizon. While sipping on a lime Shandy Carib, the crisp sea breeze whispers sweet nothings into your ear. The stress of a hectic week is washed away as the foam of the surf tickles your feet and then playfully retreats. This rejuvenating break is exactly what you needed!
A great lager beer is by itself a treasure but a great beer combined with the zing of ginger, the festive and spicy sweetness of sorrel or the revitalizing kick of lime creates winning and classic combinations. This is what the Carib brewery introduced in 1985 – an instant classic. The authentic taste of this light alcoholic beverage is a consumer favourite because its delightful and unique burst of flavours reconnects consumers with fun and memorable times with family and friends.

Bottle from Tesco. Alarming colour: an almost fluorescent puce/pink. Lots of carbonation. Artificial bubblegum aroma. Sweet, sweet, and sweet, but there's a cough syrup spiciness from the artificial sorrel flavour. It's normally a flavour I like, but this is pretty terrible and nothing like a beer. It's at least kind of refreshing.

Bottle split at my 20K thanks to Dirty Daniel at his filthiest best, 13/09/17. Clear red with a decent crimson cap. Nose is sweet cherryade, straw, grains, paper. Taste comprises sweet sugary red berry syrups, aspartamic, grains, candy sugar. Light body, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Far from sincere is this juan !

Bottle at L42. It pours crazy bright pink - red with a small pink head. The aroma is cherry drops, cherry tunes, medicinal, liquorice, aniseed, sugary, red kola, cola cubes and jaegermeister. The taste is very sweet, sugary, cherry cola, white sugar, spicy, herbal, liquorice, cola cubes and spice with a warming spiced finish. Light body and fine, foamy carbonation. Cola cube soft drink. No beers were harmed in the making of this beverage.

Bottle shared in London on cloin's 20k - cheers to Danny. Pours radioactive pink with a creamy head. Loads of cinnamon candies in the nose. Medium sweet flavour with an interesting herbal character, some potpourri, a bit of berry candies. Light bodied with with carbonation. Finishes with more herbs and lightly spicy cinnamon, gummy fruits, raw sugar. Not super drinkable, and a bit odd.

This is... strange. Pours a toxic pink like Tahiti Treat. Can’t place what this fruit tastes like. Syrupy sweet finish. Bottle in Bucco Bay.

Appearance: Artificial red colour, certified it seems. Clear. Flat.
Aroma: Some fruit/berry. Very sweet and sticky.
Taste: Very sweet, really very sweet. Fruit, which must be the artificial sorrel flavour they have generously added. No beer flavour. This is not an effing beer.
Bought: Sainsbury’s, 330 ml, £?.??
