When we first started thinking of a UFO summer seasonal, we knew we had our work cut out for us. We loaded up the vans for the beach and spent days “researching” every combination of fresh fruit juice and beer we could think of until we discovered a combination that made our decision easy.
Made with grapefruit juice.

UFO Big squeeze: Pours pinkish orange with a thick white head. Aroma of grapefruit. Taste has heavy grapefruit elements, bit of tartness along with a nice wheat ale undertone. Palate has floral notes. Good, refreshing.

Bottle. Cloudy pink color, coca cola head. Grapefruit aroma. Taste is bittersweet citrus. Reminds me of some of the New England style IPAs. Haha.

12 ounce bottle. Cloudy orange gold color. Small white head disapates quickly. Aroma is redolent of grapefruit and overripe oranges. Tangy grapefruit flavor dominates the palate. Bittersweet fruit from start to finish. Highly carbonated. Cloying bittersweet fruit finish.

Peachy pour. Nose of grapefruit and peach. I may not of known this was an alcoholic beverage if I didn’t pour from bottle. Tastes like grapefruit juice, peach, champagne, lime. I don’t know this is sparkling unfresh fruit juice. Definitely something I would have wanted at my kindergarten graduation party

Orange juice and bready yeast smell. Cloudy amber, chunks, headless. Grapefruit juice and cheap beer, overchewed chewing gum. Cardboard present. Medium body, fizzy. Ugh, this is a mess.

Free at anparty: pours hazy orange with white head. Aroma is grapefruit. Taste is grapefruit ans nondescript beer. Not as refreshing as it would seem on a hot summer day. Not a fan.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 6/8/15

Aroma: The aroma wheat and malt, with lots of grapefruit and grapefruit rind
Appearance: A murky orange highlighter color with a head so fizzy you can hear it dissipate
Flavor: The taste full of grapefruit, fairly sweet, good tart and malt flavors for some balance
Palate: The feel is typical shandy juice and light beer combo, some fizziness as well
Overall Impression: It is pretty much exactly what you might expect from a grapefruit shandy. Not bad. I can see the appeal.

Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can poured into a glass. Translucent orange with small white head. Aroma is grapefruit, medium body, low carbonation, and no lacing. Taste is rich grapefruit. Not bad for a grapefruit shandy. Think Sangria, but with grapefruit and beer rather than wine and fruit juice.
