We crafted Hop Cocoa to be a smooth porter that packs a potent chocolate punch into every sip. Roasted cocoa nibs combine with bright, citrusy hops to create a silky-smooth balance of bright hops and indulgent chocolate.

12 oz. bottle with a bottling date of 12-05-16. Dark brown color. Aroma is mild cocoa powder, citrus hops, and milk chocolate.
The flavor has a strong amount citrus hops that provides a strong bitterness thought the sip. The chocolate does peak through the hops and gives a slight milk chocolate nuance. Body is about normal for a porter. The bitterness is so strong it reminds me of a CDA / Black IPA. Citrus hops are long and strong in the finish.

Draft sample at Dominion Wine & Beer, thanks Tyler! Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of citrus and floral. Tastes of citrus, floral notes, light roasty and cocoa/chocolate. Very light on the roast and cocoa. Medium body with a dry finish. Different for a porter, not quite in black IPA territory with the hops.
