Pretty hazy golden and light straw coloured body with a fast-dying, two centimetre tall off-white head that leaves a very subtle lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma of very fresh blueberries, some caster and icing sugar, a hint of vanilla and lactose here with a crisp biscuity malt and light bready yeast bite as well, but the nose is very nice here and reminiscent of a blueberry muffin. Light to barely Medium-bodied; Slightly bitter and blueberry flavours show at first with a moderate but fairly subdued malt backbone that shows some grainy malts with more of a biscuity and much less of a wheat presence at all here. Aftertaste is pretty bitter for the style considering the blueberries and graininess contribute to the lightly harsh notes and give off a earthy finish with some light sugars here as well. Overall, a slightly dry, but pretty grainy and relatively earthy flavour shows through everything with some fresh blueberries, but those aren't the real driver here with more of an emphasis on the malts and bitterness with some light sugars here, but the flavour is about what I expected overall. Nice to sample and easily worth the drive back home here, but I might have been a little less happy had I flown home with this, but not a bad option considering this warm time of year. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Charleston, South Carolina on 28-December-2021 for US$1,99 sampled at my house here in the start of the summer season up North here in Washington on 08-June-2022.
