Few creatures in our imagination seem so real yet just out of reach. With legs the size of tree trunks and tusks that kept the fiercest predators at bay, their power bore legends across our ancestors’ cultures. One wonders if these lumbering giants were a vital part of our conception of our role on this earth. Our hubris was surely checked by such a gentle grazing beast, impervious to the cold with the power of a mountain in its step.

The Mammoth pours a clear ruby-orange color with mountains of sticky foam that clings to the glass. A robust malt bill hits the palate with flavors of sweet caramel that crescendos into spice and earthy bitterness. Citra, Chinook, and Centennial hops create layers of citrus peel, dank hop yards, and pungent, woody pine aromas. This beer is best paired with a renewed sense of wonder.

Pours a moderately hazy, peach-tea color, with smallish head. Aroma is pine, citrus, some breadiness. Flavors follow. Mouthfeel is moderately clean and crisp. Moderate to above levels of hop bitterness running through the finish.

Tewks draught, 9/20/25.
Gently hazy. Small, white head. Bronze color.
Juicy citrus and tropical fruit. Spiciness and candied yellow fruits provide a surprisingly easygoing, round nose. Ends in fresh floral and mineral notes with light honey and biscuit gently balancing.
More of what I was expecting in the flavor with a more dry, bitter character of pine, white grapefruit, spicy rye, earth and mineral. Big lingering bitterness, not overdone or resinous, with no alcohol noted. Chewy, rich texture with good attenuation. Really nice modern interpretation. Soft textures and plentiful fruitiness without beating you to death with pine.
